Masters of Science in Nursing: UCSF
Rachel has been with Chabot since 2010. She originally became interested in chronic disease management while studying to become an adult nurse practitioner at the University of California in San Francisco. One of her favorite aspects of working in the outpatient hemodialysis setting and seeing patients every month is that it affords her the opportunity to get to know her patients well and forge relationships with them. She believes that she can better deliver evidence-based care when there is this level of communication between patient and provider. In addition, in her role as Chabot’s research study coordinator, she is grateful for the opportunity to help with the development of better methods of managing chronic kidney disease.
Rachel is originally from Texas but has called San Francisco home since 1999. In her free time, she attempts to conquer the hills of that city on her bicycle. She also enjoys keeping up with current events (both the trivial and non-trivial) and is an avid reader and moviegoer.
