American Society of Nephrology (ASN)
The world’s largest professional society devoted to the study of kidney disease through educating health professionals, sharing new knowledge, advancing research, and advocating the highest quality of care. The society publishes both the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.
National Kidney Foundation (NKF)
The NKF is a voluntary health organization. Initiatives include public and professional education, kidney early evaluation screening program, research, and other patient services including emergency assistance. The society publishes the American Journal of kidney Diseases, Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease, and the Journal of Renal Nutrition.
United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
Nonprofit organization which coordinates U.S. activities. The UNOS web site contains information and statistics about organ transplantation.
American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN)
Founded in 2000 by interventional nephrologists, the ASDIN promotes the proper application of new and existing vascular procedures in the practice of nephrology with the goal of improving the care of nephrology patients. The society publishes the journal Seminars in Dialysis.
Vascular Access Society of the Americas (VASA)
VASA provides vascular access education for physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. The society publishes the Journal of Vascular Access.
International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPN)
The ISPN is dedicated to advancing knowledge of peritoneal dialysis via international scientific meetings and scientific publications. The society publishes the Journal Peritoneal Dialysis International.
The American Society of Transplantation (AST)
The AST offers a forum for the exchange of knowledge, scientific information, and expertise in the field of transplantation. The society publishes the American Journal of Transplantation and the Primer of Transplantation.
The International Society of Nephrology (ISN)
The ISN is dedicated to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of kidney diseases. It tries to achieve this mission through collaborations, meetings, publications, outreach, and other activities. The society publishes the Journals Kidney International and Nature Clinical Practice Nephrology.
